False Yokes Are Being Broken!
In a recent time of prayer, I heard the Lord say,
“False yokes are being broken.”
I felt impressed to look up this word and to research it it a little more thoroughly. I knew there was distinct imagery the Holy Spirit was trying to convey that I needed to get a hold of.
When we think of the word “yoke”, generally we think of a bar joining two farm animals at the head or neck for working, such as oxen. In reality this word means so much more. According to Webster’s dictionary in the set of listed definitions, “yoke” can also mean:
* An arched device formerly laid on the
back of a defeated person.
* a. An oppressive agency
b. Servitude, bondage
c. A tie, link , marriage
Through our agreements, choices and sometimes consequences of choices we make, we join or yoke ourselves to things such as: old ways of doing things, relationships, hurts and offenses, false yokes of performance for love, religious rituals that we do every day that don’t have life in them and aren’t bringing us closer to God, old wine skins for how God can move, disappointment, fear, shame and unbelief, etc. These false yokes are heavy to carry and after carrying them for an extended period of time we will find that we cannot bear up under their weight, and we eventually will crumple to the ground drained of our hope and strength.
In that earlier time of prayer, I saw a picture of the enemy using these false yokes people were tied to, to try to break the backs of God’s people. Christians that are bound or walk around defeated are not a threat to the enemy, so his strategy had become one of trying to inflict harm through oppression, using these yokes as leverage to control and manipulate Gods people into exhaustion by taking on assignments that aren’t from the Lord, as well as move people out of grace and into the grave.
I heard the voice of the Lord in a loud boom announcing “Freedom has come!”
In Jesus name, I prophecy over you that FREEDOM has come and that these false yokes of oppression and shame are broken off you, the false yoke of the religious spirit is shattered, every heavy thing that the enemy has placed upon your neck to keep you bowed low in defeat is shattered, for the hand of the Lord Your Deliverer has come to rescue you. The God of Glory thunders, the voice of the Lord hews out flames of fire, His voice is destroying the enemy’s stranglehold and the strongman’s grip. LIFT UP YOUR EYES, LIFT UP YOUR HEAD for the Bondage Breaker has defeated the oppressor.
See the Lord’s hand stretched out towards you. Hear the sound of His voice inviting you to come to Him. Instead of a yoke of bondage receive His yoke of love, for His yoke is easy and His burden is light. Hear the Lord calling your name and inviting you to step into His presence where there is fullness of joy and abundant life. This is your turning moment, this is the moment you have cried out to the Lord for. Accept his invitation today and draw near to Him and He will surround you in His Love.
,Matthew 11:28-30 NASB
“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
Isaiah 58:6 NASB
“Is this not the fast which I choose, To loosen the bonds of wickedness, To undo the bands of the yoke, And to let the oppressed go free And break every yoke?”
Isaiah 61:1-3 NASB
“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, Because the LORD has anointed me To bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to captives And freedom to prisoners; To proclaim the favorable year of the LORD And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, To grant those who mourn in Zion, Giving them a garland instead of ashes, The oil of gladness instead of mourning, The mantle of praise instead of a spirit of fainting. So they will be called oaks of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.”
