Don't Look Back

I hear the Lord saying,

“Don’t look back, set your gaze forward and right on me.”

I believe this is a word to the greater body of Christ. Many believers are looking back and longing for what was, or for the comfort of familiar ways, but in doing so you are effectively opening the door for old cycles and old ways to repeat themselves and God is calling us into the new thing He’s doing. Old ways, old expressions and old mindsets have no space in a new place or thing. I hear the Lord lovingly assuring his children saying,

“Beloved, let go of that past and grab hold of me. I Am more than enough. Do not be afraid, do not allow the old ways to comfort you. Instead, allow me to be your comfort and your peace. As long as you cling to Me you are going to land on your feet! I will cause you to pass through the fire and not be burned up, your feet will have a steady path and you will see my goodness on display. Don’t look back, but keep your gaze fixed on Me. I Am Faithful and True and will lead you into into the “new” that I have promised and am doing.”
