A Message For A Season

As a prophetic voice, the Lord often anoints your mouth with a specific message to the body of Christ for a season. In these instances the Lord will not allow or release you to stop speaking about, prophesying, declaring, and proclaiming that message until He says it’s time to stop or changes the message.

Part of the charge and responsibility of being a prophetic voice is as His vessel, not only hearing the voice of the Lord and obeying it, but being faithful to release only what you have been commissioned to release. While God does give prophetic voices a new word often, sometimes we receive a message for a season. This means that we are speaking the same message over and over until it has rooted in the heart of the body of Christ and starts to bear fruit. Mature prophetic voices are not upset by this or frustrated about it because they understand that the prophetic word and message is about God and what He is desiring to accomplish and not about us. Our part as a trumpet and mouthpiece of the Lord on the earth is listening for the Lord's direction and message and then obeying and releasing it.

Wisdom for emerging prophetic voices:

*Don’t compare your message to others.

*Don’t look for the flashy moment.

*Don’t look for a platform.

*Don’t run from the message God has given you.

*Don’t make a message up to try to be like everyone else or because you are desiring to be seen.

Instead,

*Be fully surrendered to the Lord

*Be immersed in His love and Lordship

*Be quick to listen to Him and slow to speak

*Be quick to obey His voice

*Know His Word

*Be Bold with His word

*Be faithful with your commission

*Be humble before the Lord and towards others

*Do not force the timing of the word but be patient for the appointed time of release

*Release the word exactly as instructed

*Give Him the glory and the Honor

These few things will not only bring about fruitful prophetic ministry through you, but they will accelerate you in your personal growth in the Lord and cause you to move into dimensions of your call you didn’t know were there.
